Four main zones conform this huge terrain around Chamonix. Here we suggest some of the super classics that you can do in a day tour with us :
Chamonix Mont-Blanc
Col d’Entreves : A must do Easy tour in combination with the Vallée Blanche – (1.30h up, 4h down). A good introduction to the ski touring in altitude.
Breche Puiseux : A difficult traverse in a magic place (5h up, 3h down) A pure ski mountaineering journey involving the climb of steep couloir and ski on big glaciers).
Aiguilles Rouges
Col du Belvedere : Nice easy climb to the pass, with a serious descent in the back side. Thanks to the rope! (3h up, 2h down) Your guide will do his job there !
Crochues-Berard traverse : Easy and accessible route in the sunny side of the massif. Well deserve its popularity (2.5h up, 2h down).
Les Contamines Saint-Gervais-les-Bains
Col de Bonhome : Fairly Easy tour from the valley floor (4h up, 2h down) A historic passage between valleys.
Col de la Cicle : Popular Easy tour from Contamines ski resort (2h up, 2h) down. Excellent downhill.
Argentière – Le tour
Col du Pason : Popular and interesting tour with great descent over a north aspect glacier (4h up, 2h down).
Col du Tour Noire : The mega classic of the area and a long day out (5h up, 2.5h down) The meaning of ski touring in Chamonix make sense here in the Tour Noire.
The 3 cols : A must do round tour in the Valley. Very varied and demanding over three passes (5h up, 2h down). This is part of the first day on the classic Haute route.
